GasSseD 2024
GasSseD 2024 is a multi-faceted project which will give young artists the opportunity to learn from and perform alongside experienced artists from their local area of Doncaster. There will be workshops that will expand our aspiring artists’ minds on marketing and branding as an artist. We will help lay foundations for the young creators to create a tailored strategy for themselves in music. They will receive the chance to perform at one of the main venues in Doncaster, The WoolMarket, alongside artists from around South Yorkshire who have already begun their journeys. These artists have a lot of performance experience at the region's largest events, making this a great opportunity to gain some first-hand knowledge for our aspiring artists of Doncaster. This project will help kickstart some aspiring creative careers while also celebrating the current talent living in the area.
The Attic
The Attic is a community-focused, multifunctional and creative space in Leeds City Centre. The Attic's primary focus is hosting gigs, in the recently renovated, 200 capacity venue, whilst also utilising this space for rehearsals, film screenings, workshops, exhibitions and recitals. Alongside the main event room, The Attic offers two additional spaces for creative practice, such as rehearsal, songwriting, mixing and teaching, plus an enclosed outdoor area with seating. Founded by experienced vocal tutor, performer and pianist, David Brown, The Attic is a team of three, including Audio Engineer and musician, Sol Edwards, and Event Manager and musician, Amy Illingworth.
