Lavender CoWrites
Lavender CoWrites is a collaborative songwriting project that brings together talented songwriters and producers from across borders and age groups to collaborate and learn from one another, as well as gaining an international network creating expanded collaborative opportunities for them in the future.
6-8 participants from across Europe (In the past UK, Denmark, Holland and Germany) fly to our space in the Swedish countryside and spend a week writing - collaborating with a new partner every day. Every evening after supper we hold a listening session where participants get the opportunity to showcase their work and gain valuable feedback from their peers.
The week is fully facilitated with prepared healthy food as well as activities such as yoga, walks and canoeing for the participants to clear their minds after hours of concentrated song-writing and creation.
Running these songwriting camps in the past, we have found that participants form a deep bond as a group - the isolation and natural beauty coupled with the hyper-productive creative output makes for a profoundly moving experience. On multiple occasions participants have claimed that they have had ‘one of the best weeks of their life’. This is the driving force behind the whole project.
