Sable Radio
Sable Radio is an online radio station which broadcasts a wide range of shows from over 50 hosts. They cover most musical genres but also try to push a range of niche shows across Leeds' arts and culture scene using the platform to spotlight and reflect Leeds' range of creativity. Sable stated aims are 'to provide an alternative to the white dominated radio/music spaces in Leeds and to challenge online and independent radio norms by not relying on volunteers, instead ensuring contributors are paid'.
Sable broadcasts Wednesday through Friday, usually from 5pm - 11pm to a monthly audience of 4000 people across Yorkshire and internationally. Sable also broadcasts on odd days from beyond the studio, including talk and ambient listening sessions with Peach at Outlaws Yacht Club, or broadcasting from Kirkgate Market in Leeds. Outside of broadcasting they have also scheduled a range of events including Red Bull's Normal Not Novelty programme with workshops from A.G and a conversation with Tash LC and DJ Paulette. They also put on a pop up gig for rising stars Nayana IZ and Bone Slim at Welcome Skate Store video (check it out here).
