Greg Surmacz
Greg Surmacz is a multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Leeds, but originally from the West Midlands. Having spent his career playing in bands and collaborating with others, as well as making leftfield dance music under the Captain Over moniker, this is his first proper solo project. It's a culmination and crystallisation of his interests and experience up to this point, incorporating lush woodwind melodies, detailed electronic beats and surprising arrangements. Musically he takes influence from the spectrum of jazz, electronic music, hip-hop, P-Funk and more, resulting in a sound all his own.
His pair of albums this year, 'Timelines (Parts 1 and 2)', have received support from BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 3, Bandcamp Daily (best electronic albums of the month), Bandcamp Weekly, Worldwide FM, Jazz FM and many more.
