Curtis Charles is an upcoming British singer, songwriter and dancer. Born and raised in Leeds, England. Curtis grew up being the youngest of five siblings raised by their grandma and single mother. Curtis' musical influences began from what Curtis claims to have started from 'inside the womb'. His introduction to pop culture was, majorly introduced to Charles through his mother, who listened to the likes of Micheal Jackson, Tina Turner, Grace Jones, Annie Lennox, Madonna, Destinys Child, Whitney Huston, the list goes on. Curtis became captivated by the musical artist widely known as Beyoncé. From around the age of 8 years old, along with his siblings, Charles began to imitate and learn every move and lyric from the worldwide phenomenon. This inspiration sealed the fate and dream of Curtis longing to become an artist of his own.
Curtis set out on his musical journey from the age of just 12 years old, where he began to write songs and gained multiple scholarships to attend Performing arts schools and dance schools. Now 11 years later, Curtis Charles feels he is ready to embark on his journey into the music world. Unveiling music from his perspective while bringing back hints of nostalgia throughout his music and visuals, starting with his first solo release 'ONE IN A MILLION', featuring Leeds rapper and artist S1lva.
