Helen Madden
Helen Madden is a composer, musician, lecturer, and music examiner with a PhD in Composition from the University of York. She is a Senior Lecturer in Music Industry and Creative Industries at Teesside University and has extensive experience in music education and has written pieces for leading exam boards.. Helen is passionate about collaborative composition.
An active member of the Barnsley Music Hub strategy board, she works closely with the community to support music education and engagement. Alongside her academic work, she specializes in jazz saxophone performance and has a deep commitment to fostering creativity in musicians of all levels.
With a career spanning composition, performance, and education, Helen continues to shape the future of the music industry through teaching, research, and outreach.
