Barney Lister
"Barney Lister is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter. Growing up in 90s Huddersfield, he started out playing the drums and found his artistic calling thanks to the Yorkshire town's melting-pot sound system culture. Now based in his studio in London, Barney has established himself as one of the UK's most in-demand, genre-fluid young producers over the last six years. In 2021, he won an Ivor Novello Award, followed by a second nomination in 2022 alongside Afrobeat artist Obongjayar. He has also worked with the likes of Joy Crookes, Olivia Dean, Celeste, and Joesef. Barney is part of the duo MRCY, who are signed to Dead Oceans and released their debut record in 2024."
