Skinner is a female solo artist from Leeds, creating alternative soulful r’n’b with hip-hop/pop influences, topped off with her extremely distinctive powerful and potent voice.
A highly versatile and exciting talent, she graduated from Leeds College of music with a degree in songwriting.
BBC Introducing presenter Jericho Keys describes her sound as 'Sassy, soulful and sexy'. Her songs have been broadcast on stations including BBC Radio 1, BBC 1XTRA BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio York and more through the BBC introducing uploader.
Skinner has also received support from the likes of Huw Stephens on Radio 1 and has previously been named BBC Introducing Artist of the week on BBC Radio 1XTRA where her music was played everyday on the station for a week.
Skinner has established herself as one of the top artists in Leeds and has also had the privilege of collaborating with acclaimed artists overseas such as popular US rapper Anilyst.
Skinner has also had a string of successful live appearances across the UK including her performances at both the legendary Leeds and Reading Festivals on the BBC Introducing Stage.
Her Debut EP ‘Salt’ came out in March 2019 and was subsequently awarded ‘Best Project’ at the 2019 Yorkshire Entertainment awards.
Skinner has headlined numerous gigs across Yorkshire and has also had the opportunity to support many successful UK artists recently including D Double E and Novelist.
