Noisy Villages
Noisy Villages is a new programme of bold, playful live music and cultural events in villages across Ryedale, North Yorkshire. It will bring inspiring and diverse artists from across the North to new audiences, and also provide a much needed platform for local musicians. By using village halls as venues, Noisy Villages will put exciting live music into the heart of rural communities. Music is a powerful way of bringing people together and we intend to welcome people of all ages to our events.
Noisy Villages is led by Helen Mahoney (Bloom Arts), an arts and cultural producer and local resident. In 2020, after spending many years working across the UK on everything from opera to burlesque, she decided to focus her energy on cultivating culture and creativity within her own community.
As we adapt to the challenges that Covid 19 has brought, Noisy Villages aims to help build a stronger local musical ecosystem for all genres of music.
