Hey sailors, we are jellyskin. Our music is for fans of: sea creatures, silvery electronics, fathoms-deep bass, cut-glass vocals, airless beats, plastic techno, mangled guitar, sparkling percussion, and candied harmonies - that deep, deep jellyskin sound. Although we started off as a landlubbing shoegaze group, we’ve slowly reinvented ourselves as a semi-ridiculous, faintly pompous, seafloor-dwelling industrial techno unit. You’ll find us clambering over rock pools or squirreled away recording bleeps and bloops.
We’ve played all over England, to audiences of six to six hundred, supporting artists such as The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Warmduscher, Sea Power, The Moonlandingz, Scalping, Sink Ya Teeth, and many more. Our songs have been played on 6 Music, Amazing Radio, and BBC Introducing in West Yorkshire, and featured in Clash, the ‘i’ newspaper, Line Of Best Fit, and Get Into This. Our long-overdue album has been gestating for three years, and it is almost, almost ready to be heard.
