Fuzz Lightyear

A band used to playing dingy basements and rooms filled with rowdy pits, Fuzz Lightyear have made a mark with their noise-grunge sounds for a post-punk age. Since their formation in 2019 the band has built an audience in Leeds with both the crowds and the music getting noisier and more energized at their sold out shows across the city. Fuzz Lightyear's maturation into one of the Norths most exciting post-punk bands has seen their songwriting and live shows grow to be intense memorable experiences.

Sitting at the cross-section of grunge, post-punk, and noise-rock, FUZZ II,the debut EP from the three-piece synthesizes the best parts of each genre along-with hard-hitting

detailed songwriting. Working alongside producer and friend Adam Bentham (Autosuggestion, Gladboy), and recording in basements and bedrooms across Leeds, Fuzz Lightyear have infused their DIY grungy basement sound on each track of their debut EP. With praise from Shell Zenner, BBC Introducing, Brudenell Social Club and more, Fuzz Lightyear's brand of grunge is quickly becoming notable.

2021 will see the band work with Alex Greaves (bdrmm, LICE, Heavy Lungs) to present a refinement of their multifaceted sounds on their latest single “Berlin, 1885”, a distressing, alarming track decrying the disheartening rise of xenophobia internationally.
