Nick Reed
Nick is CEO of B:Music, the music charity that operates Symphony Hall and Town Hall in Birmingham. Nick has worked in venue management for nearly 40 years after an underwhelming attempt to make it as a musician. He has worked in England, Wales and Ireland managing venues from 90 to 2200 cap. He went to his first gig in 1976 and hasn't stopped going since.
The West Midlands Music Board was established after the pandemic. The WMMB’s mission is to champion the region’s music industry and ecosystem, protect and promote music industry development at grassroots level and work with local authorities, institutions and government to develop regional data, policies and advocacy. The board is currently on hiatus pending a relaunch and the creation of a viable business model.
