Michelle Myrie
A session drummer with over 20 + years’ experience playing and touring with a variety of bands. Also House music Producer and DJ playing a variety of genres from classic house to Afro house to old school disco! Has also hosted a number of radio shows at the community radio station - Radio Buena Vida in Glasgow and about to play her first DJ gig at Glastonbury 2025.
I am a Grants and learning manager for Youth Music. I give guidance and support to my grant holders as well as to new applicants on their projects. I am also the lead officer for our Industry Connect Fund– which is a fund working with organisations and young people to widen the pipeline to employment in the Music Industries. I also manage 25 Next Gen Fund artists, helping to support on their music projects. Before this role I was the CSR manager for a charity and a project coordinator for various Youth Justice programmes in London. I firmly believe there should be no barriers to accessing music no matter who you are and I’m grateful to be part of an organisation that helps to champion that
