"James has developed and delivered various co-curricular support interventions for the students and graduates of Leeds Conservatoire (LC), where he is currently Head of Strategic Partnerships & Enterprise. Creating learning resources, work opportunities and fruitful partnerships is at the heart of the team he leads. Supporting the building of a creative ecosystem in Leeds and West Yorkshire in order to retain talent in the region is a major passion. James has acted as lead KE professional on LC’s UKRI Knowledge Exchange funding, developing suitable projects that benefit all partners.
James is also an experienced professional writer and performer, who has worked both independently and with business partners (published writer with Warner Chappell)’
Leeds Conservatoire is a specialist higher education institution providing comprehensive training for 1,400 undergraduate and postgraduate students per year on a range of music and performing arts courses. In addition to our full-time staff, 350 fractional teaching staff, who also pursue careers as professional artists, composers, and creators, contribute to the conservatoire. Each year, the conservatoire hosts over 1,000 events including gigs, concerts, performances, cabarets and masterclasses.
