Vanessa Ndukuba

Vanessa is a music artist based in Bradford, UK. Her journey into music began with school musicals and choir, where she discovered her love for music and performance. Learning guitar ignited her passion, leading her to busk and perform at open mic gigs across Yorkshire, helping her build her skills and connect with audiences.

After studying songwriting at BIMM Manchester, Vanessa participated in various music projects over the past decade, collaborating with talented artists and honing her craft. For the last five years, she has focused on producing her own music, exploring genres that inspire her, such as Electronic, Indie, and Liquid DnB. This year, she began releasing material for her new project, Afrobaby, which delves into themes of personal growth and resilience.

Now back in Bradford, Vanessa continues to pursue her musical journey, excited to contribute to the vibrant local music scene and inspire others through her work.

Afrobaby, a British/Nigerian artist based in Bradford, draws on Electronic, Liquid DnB, Indie, and dark pop for her diverse sound. Inspired by her personal journey, she explores themes of grief and mental health, crafting music primarily in her bedroom on dark nights surrounded by ambient lighting and incense. Known for her introspective and soulful approach, Afrobaby intertwines personal narratives into her lyrics, encouraging healing, elevated vibrations, and vulnerable conversations among her audience.
