Kurt Wood

I grew up listening to a lot of music with my parents. When I showed interest in playing, they bought me a drum kit and a guitar at age 15 and I started my first band. As a musician, I have toured the UK and Europe on many occasions behind various releases.

After recording a series of lo-fi demos at home, I took a BTEC course in Audio Media, and went on to receive a degree in Music Production from Leeds College of Music. During my studies, I continued to record demos for my friends’ bands, whilst hustling to record anyone I could (usually for free). Whilst I was studying, I began mixing front-of-house and backline tech’ing. Once I graduated in 2012, I started freelance producing in studios around West Yorkshire.

In 2019, I designed and built Corner House Recording Studio and have worked there ever since.
