Daniel Jones (Writer Relations Manager - PRS for Music)

Based in Manchester, Daniel Jones is PRS for Music’s Writer Relationship Manager and is a key point of contact for its members around the world, from those with longstanding involvement within the music industry to emerging talent.

Daniel’s role is to engage with songwriters, composers, publishers, music educators, organisations and professionals in order to raise awareness and a better understanding of PRS for Music.

Daniel is a frequent speaker at industry conferences across the UK and as a keen musician has played guitar and bass in a number of bands and has contributed as a music journalist to numerous online and print outlets.

PRS for Music represents the rights of over 160,000 songwriters, composers, and music publishers in the UK and around the world. On behalf of its members, it works to grow and protect the value of their rights and ensure that creators are paid transparently and efficiently whenever their musical compositions and songs are streamed, downloaded, broadcast, performed and played in public. In 2020, 22.4 trillion performances of music were reported to PRS for Music, with £699m paid out in royalties to its members, making it one of the world’s leading music collective management organisations.
