Michelle Myrie (Grants And Learnings Officer - Youth Music)

Michelle is the Grants and Learning Officer for Youth Music and her regions cover Yorkshire and the Humber and some London projects.

In this role she gives guidance and support to grant holders as well as to new applicants on their projects. This role also involves monitoring evaluation reports from grant holders and assessing various applications.

Before Youth Music, Michelle was the CSR manager for a charity as well as a coordinator for various Youth Justice projects in London.

Also drummer with over 20 years’ experience performing, teaching, and touring with various bands, she firmly believes that there should be no barriers to accessing music no matter who you are and is grateful to be part of an organisation that helps to champion that.

Youth Music is a national charity funded thanks to the National Lottery via Arts Council England, players of People's Postcode Lottery and support from partners, fundraisers and donors. Our insights, influence and investment in grassroots organisations and to young people themselves means that more 0–25-year-olds can make, learn and earn in music.
