Philip Morris
Philip is the Musicians’ Union Regional Officer for the North of England. He is part of a team that enthusiastically and excitedly make sure that music is adequately represented in the devolved powers of the Northern cities. He is the first point of contact for the MU’s Northern membership that includes Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool and everything in between.
Philip previously worked as a Synchronisation Manager for an award-winning independent publishing company and has licensed music to a litany of media across TV, Adverts, Films and Games. Philip has empirical experience in royalty administration, neighbouring rights and A&R practises. A graduate of Music from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Philip has also worked as a Press Officer for a boutique music PR company as well as a media liaison for a festival of music, art and politics.
Musicians' Union is a trade union for all musicians. The MU stands up for employed and self-employed musicians working in every area of the UK music industry, including music education. We work to maximise the employment and overall income of musicians as well as protecting and improving working conditions.
