Martha Phillips

Multi-instrumentalist, writer, and producer, Martha Phillips started Incantation Music in the middle of lockdown 3. With the view of creating more space and recognition for queer and gender minority artists in the music industry, Martha used her experience as an artist to build a scene for this community in Manchester.

Incantation works to support this artistic community through live events such as Chipped Polish (Alt-Queer Club Night at Yes) and Louder (Acoustic live music at Feel Good Club), and helping to get music distributed via single release support for local marginalised talent, and grass roots artists, gaining radio plays from BBC R1, and BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio UK / US and more.
