Luke Politz

Luke is the co-founder of Gimme A Break Records and is currently studying for a Masters in Critical and Applied Musicology at the University of Leeds.

In his work with Gimme A Break, Luke has helped to represent DJs and producers from the North of England through digital and physical releases, mixes and events. His chosen research area is sound system culture in Leeds viewed through the lens of aesthetic, postcolonial and queer theory.

Luke also works part-time at The Vinyl Whistle record store in Headingley.
