Eleanor Beever
Eleanor graduated from the University of Hull with a music degree in 2020. She is a cellist, double bassist and piano player, and enjoys performing, session work, arranging and composition (having recently completed session work for Skinny Pelembe, Rumbi Tauro and Imogen Hart).
After finishing university, she worked at Higher Rhythm, supporting their BTEC music technology course and now she works within the cultural sector in south Yorkshire supporting events, including arts festivals, leading workshops and creative challenge programmes for children and young people. Eleanor finds it really rewarding being involved in community engagement, especially coming from Rotherham where “creative participation is below the UK average and there are many access barriers to art.” In January she began working at Long Division as a creative community assistant, programming events for the community and family activities at the festival.
