Jessie Marcella
Jessie Marcella is a composer/producer, her music varies in genre from atmospheric soundscape through to ambient electronic dance music. Melancholic and deeply emotive undertones tie together her diverse sound. Classically trained in clarinet, Jessie uses both live and electronic instrumentation within her works, the combination of these create a profound fusion; both unique and captivating. Jessie's sound has led to support from BBC Radio 1 and BBC Introducing.
Jessie champions the power of music and other art forms together, which has led to many collaborative projects, including ‘Untitled A Short Film’ - a striking animated short film, created in collaboration with Sara Martinez (aka Boz Viz). Jessie has also worked along-side Lauren Trim, a dancer and choreographer, to create an atmospheric soundscape composition accompanying a dance piece named ‘Rewilding’, performed at Landing Party and Flock festival. Her imagery provoking and deeply introspective sound is also regularly showcased at her co-founded Mindful Movement workshops in and around Leeds, England.
