Harris Hameed
Hailing from Leeds, Harris is a vocalist of British Asian descent who delivers a combination of tones, melodies and lyrical storytelling.
After appearing on The Voice UK in 2016 Hameed did not receive a turn on the show, the audition went on to receive 1,076,449 views and caught the attention of will.i.am, Naughty Boy, Isaiah Dreads.
Harris later went on to release a string of singles and projects championed by BBC Introducing, BBC 1Xtra & BBC Asian Network featured as “Future Sounds Artist 2017” performing his live lounge set at BBC Maida Vale studios in 2018.
In 2018 Harris was the first British Asian artist to make the Mobo Awards Unsung Class of 2018 propelling him into the UK R&B scene, going on to open up live shows for artists like Afrikan Boy, Lady Leshurr & Paigey Cakey.
Harris has collaborated with artists like Raxstar, Jamzy, Sneakbo, 2NV, Yaseen Rosay & Mic Righteous.
Taking inspiration from major artists like Frank Ocean, Sega Bodega, J. Cole, Jazmine Sullivan & Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan creating sounds with soulful British raga storytelling.
Harris aspires to break cultural and societal boundaries through his artistry and take people on a journey through his words.
