Francesca Pidgeon

Francesca Pidgeon is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Leeds. Since 2019 she has been releasing art-pop under the moniker 'Dilettante' and has been a member of Bella Union's BC Camplight since 2018. She has toured internationally, both with her own project and as a session musician, since becoming a self-employed musician in 2017.

She has been playing in bands and writing music, in Yorkshire and further afield, for the past 15 years and has always taken a distinctly 'Do It Yourself' approach to all aspects of her projects, creating all of the visual content, producing her own music, promoting her own shows and hand-making much of the merchandise.

She has also written scores for several BFI-funded short films and has begun writing commercially for a creative music and sync house.

In her spare time she coaches and plays a full contact sport on roller skates (roller derby).
