Music Centres
Group tuition available on most instruments, some individual lessons available. Various ensembles such as jazz, drums, rock, steel pan, orchestra, brass depending on the centre. See website for more details.
Music centres are located in: Guiseley, Horsforth, North Leeds, Rothwell, South Leeds and Wetherby.
They are open on Saturday mornings during term time.
All ages welcome from under 5’s to over 60
There is an enrolment fee of £38, payable once per family, to join the Music Centre (please this applies to immediate family members only).
If you only want to take one class and are joining on your own, membership is just £20 (under 18) or £28 (adult).
A course fee is then payable for each class or group you join. The easiest way to pay is via a monthly Direct Debit, which spreads the cost for the 27 weeks that Music Centres are open over nine equal instalments (October to June).

Under 18 - £133 per year (£14.78 per month)
Younger children’s classes / SEN – £114 per year (12.67 per month)

Guisley Music Centre
Guisley Music Centre offers tuition on most instruments and a range of ensembles including rock band, wind band and rhythm club

Horsforth Music Centre
Horsforth music centre offers classes ranging from music for pre-schoolers, to full concert bands and orchestras, piano and singing lessons, jazz and rock.

North Leeds Music Centre
North Leeds Music Centre runs over 50 different music classes and ensembles for children and adults on Saturday mornings including violin, flute, ukulele, keyboard, jazz band, orchestra and many more.

Rothwell Music Centre
Rothwell Music Centre offers a wide range of opportunities for music making. We have a varied choice of classes and are open to all ages. Strengths in our centre include the Saxophone Ensemble, Percussion Group and classes for young children.

South Leeds Music Centre
South Leeds Music Centre offer a wide range of classes and ensemble groups, from violin and guitar classes to ‘Mini Music Makers’ for under 7’s.

Wetherby Music Centre
Wetherby Music Centre offers group lessons for the following instruments: drum kit, guitar, keyboard, strings (violin, viola and cello), brass, and woodwind (recorder, flute, clarinet, oboe and saxophone).

City of Leeds Youth Music (CLYM)
Junior, intermediate and advanced ensembles for under 19’s.
Brass, string, singing, wind, folk. Jazz-rock and orchestra.
Classes take place on various days at times at venues around the Leeds area. See website for more details.
Cost: £195 per enrolment which includes 35 rehersals during term time. Some waivers and bursaries available.
All beginner ensembles are free.
