Josh Depass (Director/Manager - Elevation)
Josh Depass, also known as Jae Depz, is a music/media creative and teacher with 15 years of experience. starting out as a rapper and recording artist before picking up skills in Media, Music Production and most recently Events and Artist Management.
He has since worked on several successful music campaigns with the likes of Stefflon Don and a number of local acts, granting some artists their first plays on some of the biggest music platforms in the UK such as GRM Daily, 1xtra and Kiss FM.
As well as Music Production, he now focuses on Artist Development, using his experience as a teacher and knowledge of the industry to work with new and exciting talent through 'Elevation Music' which was founded as an events company, providing opportunities for local artists that have gone on to achieve great success in the industry, including Blazer Boccle, Lunar C, Skinner and BBC's Rap Game UK Winner, Graft.
Elevation began as a team of local music enthusiasts that shared a vision of promoting live events that would showcase new and unheard musical talent to mass audiences across West Yorkshire. After successfully registering to operate as a CIC, Elevation Music now nurtures and develops new musical talent and provides opportunities for music creators from all backgrounds.
