Akemi Fox is a 25-year-old singer/songwriter from Manchester making alternative R&B. In 2020 she released ‘Lemon Tea’ during lockdown which brought new listeners, which led to meeting management and deciding to do music full time after University. In 2022 she then signed a record deal with NQ Records in Manchester and released her second EP ‘You’re My Favourite Day’, uncovering themes of love and summer. 2023 was the year for Akemi’s first festival appearances, namely Cross the Tracks and BBC Big Weekend with BBC Introducing also she supported Kelis on the Manchester leg of her tour. As an independent artist again she is getting ready to release her third EP this year.
